Stickers have had a long and storied history.  Long before they first ended up in our scrapbook memories stickers made our world a brighter place. 

It is not known when the first sticker was invented but there evidence that stickers were being used in ancient Egypt to price and describe products.    The modern sticker however was invented in 1839 by Sir Rowland Hill.  Quickly they were being used for postage stamps and for decoration and pricing of fruit crates.  All these first stickers were made of paper that you had to wet. 

Today's stickers, no longer have to be wet before use and they come made of many different materials ranging from paper to metal.  That's enough history though, time for fun!  Grab some cute stickers, put them on your favorite scrapbook papers, and watch your scrapbooking memories come to life.
